How does Software Assurance save me money?
Here is an example: A new version of your software is released*. It could cost as much as $5 000 to upgrade all your modules. But for only $1 800 –the price of a 1 year Software Assurance subscription – you would automatically get the upgrades, plus any additional upgrades released during the coming year, plus the other benefits of Software Assurance, a saving of $3 200 a year, in this case. (This example is based on software with a hypothetical RRP of $10,000 covered by Software Assurance at 18% of the RRP).

Does Software Assurance protect me from price increases?
Yes! When upgrade prices increase, you’re already covered with Software Assurance. One year and multi-year subscription terms allow you to choose the degree of price protection that is right for your business – and can help simplify your budgeting

What is the difference between a software update and a software upgrade?
A software update (also known as a Service Pack) enhances selected software features whereas a software upgrade is an entirely new and improved version of your software. We notify Software Assurance subscribers when new Service Packs are released so that they can download them from the Web (Service Packs are generally small files).

I recently purchased a Sage Solution for the first time. Do I need to subscribe separately to Software Assurance?

When you purchase a Sage solution for the first time, you also receive one year of Software Assurance. At the end of that year we will invite you to renew your Software Assurance subscription and continue protecting your investment.

How are my software upgrades provided?

We ship out generic CDs with your Sage Software on them. We also alert your Sage Solution Provider so that they are ready to assist you with the installation.

Can I view information about my Sage account online?
Yes! You can view your Sage products and services, change your contact information and view your Sage Solution Provider of record. Request your password from SoftwareAssurance.pacific@sage.com and then register to gain access by using the “Customer Logon” link on the left navigational bar.
